Gil Spruance, M.S., CRC, CVE, CLCP, MSCC

Mr. Spruance has been a practicing rehabilitation counselor in the state of Florida since 1979. He graduated from Fairfield University in 1976 with a B.S. degree in Psychology and North Texas State University in 1980 with a M.S. degree in Counseling Psychology/Rehabilitation. His Masters Thesis analyzed personality variables as a predictor of Facet Denervation procedure responses. He has been a member of the National Association of Rehabilitation Professionals in the Private Sector (now known as IARP) since 1988, serving as the State Chapter President, 1993-1994, and numerous years on the State Board, and national board of .

After working for 10 years with a large, nationally known disability management company, Mr. Spruance founded Spruance and Associates, Inc., a regional, privately held disability management firm. Mr. Spruance specializes in vocational evaluations (wage loss determinations), Life Care Planning and assisting individuals with disabilities with Social Security Disability claims. Mr. Spruance routinely renders testimony as part of his involvement in a vast array of claims, including Worker's Compensation, Longshore/Harbour Workers, Personal Injury, and Divorce.

Mr. Spruance is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Certified Vocational Evaluator, State of Florida Qualified Rehabilitation Provider, Certified Case Manger, Vocational Expert, Social Security Representative, Certified Life Care Planner and Medicare Set-Aside Specialist.

Lisa Hellier, M.S., CRC, CCM, CVE, CDMS, CLCP, MSCC

Lisa Hellier has been a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant in Jacksonville, FL since 1979. She received her bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and masters degree in Counseling and Human Systems from Florida State University. During the past twenty-three years Ms. Hellier has conducted vocational assessments and evaluations on hundreds of disabled clients. She is skilled in vocational interviewing, vocational testing and establishing a vocational rehabilitation plan.

Ms. Hellier began working for Spruance and Associates, Disability Mangement Company in 1990. She is responsible for providing professional consultation services and vocational evaluations. Services include a comprehensive assessment, medical file review, interviewing and job goal development. A thorough labor market survey is conducted in order to assist the disabled in returning to competitive employment.

As an expert in disability management and the world of work, she has specialized in developing retraining plans, labor market surveys for workers compensation carriers, personal injury cases, maritime industry, railroad employees and longshore cases. She provides case management and vocational rehabilitation services for the injured worker employed by local area hospitals and other self-insured employers.

Ms. Hellier is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Certified Disability Management Specialist, Certified Vocational Evaluator, State of Florida Rehabilitation Provider, Medicare Set-Aside Specialist, Certified Life Care Planner and Qualified Case Manager. She has previous experience as a Vocational Expert for Social Security Administration, Office of Hearing and Appeals, and as a Rehabilitation Counselor for the U.S. Department of Labor.

Sherry Maddox, M.S., CRC, CVE, MSCC, CLCP

Sherry Maddox began working for Spruance and Associates, Inc. in 2003. She is currently Case Manager for our Medicare Set Aside Services. She is responsible for all aspects of MSA's including comprehensive medical file review, allocation profile of future medical needs, and submission to CMS for approval. She also has experience as a Case Manager where she provided delivery of services for over three hundred Social Security cases.

Ms. Maddox graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She then received her masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from The University of North Florida.

Ms. Maddox is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Certified Vocational Evaluator, Certified Life Care Planner, Certified Medicare Set Aside Consultant, and a State of Florida Qualified Rehabilitation Provider.
